The course of Graduate Diploma in Motorsport and E-Racing is designed to educate the next generation of professionals in the automotive and motorsport area. This postgraduate course offers a strong curriculum to ensure students will gain advanced managerial, technical, and professional skills to meet requirements of the Australian motorsport industry and contemporary employers.
The graduates will be able to apply a high level of theoretical and practical knowledge acquired in a variety of aspects including aerodynamics, materials, structural analysis, vehicle systems, computational modelling and simulation, and data analysis to design and develop motorsports. Graduates will be also able to develop practical solutions to real-world motorsports and automotive challenges and problems in collaboration with the automotive and motorsport engineering industry experts. Graduates will be also provided with an opportunity to continue their education in more advanced relevant areas.

All potential students are required to meet the following minimum admissions criteria for admission to the course. The applicants will be judged on a case-by-case basis and an academic decision will be sought before a final admission decision is made.
The NAC’s Credit and Recognition of Prior Learning Policy and Procedure enables students to complete the degree between one to two semesters on a full-time basis, depending on the accreditation of undergraduate degree, previous study experience and/or relevant work experience.
International Students
Course Specific Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or other higher education qualification in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, or other relevant engineering disciplines.
Applicants with equivalent to a relevant bachelor’s degree with honours (AQF8) are assessed on a case-by-case basis as per the NAC’s Credit and Recognition of Prior Learning Policy and Procedure.
Alternative Entry Pathway:
- Equivalent to a relevant Certificate III or a higher level of qualification together with significant relevant vocational practice in an automotive related role. Selection can be based on, but not limited to, interviews, CV’s, employer references, previous education, prior learning or special admissions tests. Applicants are admitted at the Dean’s discretion.
English Language Requirements
For applicants who do not meet the English Language Requirement through citizenship or prior studies in English in an approved country, evidence of an approved English language test completed within the last 2 years must be provided.
Nova Anglia College will accept one of the following as to determine the English language proficiency level required for the course:
- IELTS overall band score: 6.5 (no band score less than 6.0); or
- PTE Academic Score 59 (with no band score less than equivalent to IELTS 6.0); or
- TOEFL iBT Score 79 (with no band score less than equivalent to IELTS 6.0
Domestic Students

- A relevant Certificate III or a higher level of qualification together with significant relevant vocational practice in an automotive related role. Selection can be based on, but not limited to, interviews, CV’s, employer references, previous education, prior learning or special admissions tests. Applicants are admitted at the Dean’s discretion; or
- For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who do not meet the above entry requirement, special entry arrangements will made available by the CEO. Selection can be based on, but not limited to, interviews, previous education, prior learning or special admissions tests.
English Language Requirements
- Completion of secondary education/undergraduate degree via the medium of English, with an overall pass in English;
- Successful completion of an Australian qualification recognised as at least AQF Certificate IV, (minimum period of study of 1 school year within the last 2 years); or
- Successful completion of a Tertiary Studies Foundation Program (minimum period of study of 1 school year).
